Bonefish & Tarpon Experience

Islamorada in the Florida Keys is known to many as the sport fishing capital of the World and anglers from all over the world come to sample its fabulous fishing. The Florida Keys boasts some of the most diverse fishing to be found anywhere in the world. Surrounding the Keys are miles of shallow flats that lie in the estuarial waters of the backcountry. These flats are shallow areas with grass covered sandbars and coral outcroppings, and make ideal feeding grounds for a large variety of fish in search of crustaceans and small fish. These include Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit, Redfish, and Snook.

Through the years Florida flats fishing has gained in popularity and challenges the anglers’ talent against some of the wariest and hardest fighting fish to swim in the ocean. Using spin or fly fishing tackle, your guide will carefully pole your boat to try and get you the best shot possible at passing fish in less than 2 feet of water. This method of sight casting is both immensely challenging and adrenaline filled and will test the skills of even the best fisherman.

Itinerary

Day 1
Upon arrival at Miami airport we will be met by our guide and tranferred to the Coral Bay Resort, Islamorada on the Florida Keys. The rest of the day is free to relax and recover from the flight and to settle into the the house.

Day 2
Today is a free day for you to relax and take a break from four days of amazing fishing. There is lost to do and see in and around Islamorada and the Floriday Keys, and you could even take a day trip out to the mangroves or up to Miami City. Your knowlegeable guide will be on hand to help organise outing and excursions on your behalf. Alternatively you can take it easy at the house and enjoy a day of rest.

Day 3
Today is a full day fishing in the crystal clear waters of the Florida Keys. Fishing two to a boat on our super fast speedboats we will be fishing in just inches of water for bonefish and in the deeper troughs for tarpon.

Day 4
Today is a full day fishing in the crystal clear waters of the Florida Keys. Fishing two to a boat on our super fast speedboats we will be fishing in just inches of water for bonefish and in the deeper troughs for tarpon.
